Hi, I’m Emily, I’m so glad you are here!
Emily Collier, LCMHC, Founder and Lead Therapist
I view therapy as a collaborative process grounded in the belief that people grow through curiosity, practice, and support. A strong therapeutic relationship creates the foundation for this work. Together, we’ll focus on learning practical skills, applying them in everyday life, and building a deeper understanding of yourself along the way.
I value curiosity over judgment and believe meaningful growth happens when we can explore patterns with openness and self-compassion. I strive to create a space where you can look at your thoughts, emotions, and behaviors honestly while feeling supported in gently challenging patterns that may no longer be serving you. I also honor that each person brings unique experiences into therapy, and that change happens at different paces.
Resilience is another core belief I bring into my work. Humans are capable of growth even in the face of stress, uncertainty, and setbacks. I value progress over perfection and believe that showing up, trying, and practicing new ways of coping are powerful parts of the healing process.
I have a particular interest in supporting children, teens, and young adults who experience anxiety, panic, obsessive-compulsive concerns, trauma-related stress, and behavioral challenges. This may look like frequent worry, big emotional reactions, difficulty managing fears or intrusive thoughts, challenges with transitions or routines, or feeling stuck in patterns that no longer feel helpful.
Starting therapy can feel overwhelming and opening up to someone new takes courage. I hope this little glimpse into my world, featuring my cat Lyla by my side, helps you feel a bit more at ease before we even meet.
